Buttered Coffee
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Water
- 1 Cup Whole Milk
- 1/3 Cupa Coffee Beans (Or ground coffee)
- 5 tsp. White Sugar
- 2 tsp. Brown Sugar
- 1 Tlb. Butter
- 1/8 tsp. Fresh Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla.
Directions
- Grind coffee beans and brew with water -preferably in a French press- until dark.
- Simmer coffee until it it is reduced to 1.5-2 cups.
- Simmer Milk in a separate sauce pan at 100°C until a light/golden brown color. Stir regularly.
- Place White Sugar, Brown Sugar and Butter in a sauce pan at 200°C. Stir continuously to prevent burning. Continue until sugar has acquired a uniform dark brown color.
- Mix Vanilla and Cinnamon (grind it first if fresh) into sugar mixture.
- Combine all three pans.
- Serve in demitasse cups.
