C.W.'s Omni Chits (CWOC) is a self-hosted, multi-user productivity system built around one powerful idea. A single flexible record—the chit—can serve as a task, note, calendar event, alarm, checklist, project, email, or habit. All using one unified data model.
Unlike most productivity tools that force you to pick a category upfront and lock you into it, CWOC lets you fill in the fields that matter and the system figures out where it belongs. A chit with a date shows up on the calendar. Add a checklist and it appears in checklists too. Multiple users get their own accounts with granular sharing. Chit-level and tag-level sharing with viewer/manager roles, RSVP, assignment, and stealth mode.
There is no account to create, no subscription to manage, and no cloud dependency. Your data lives on your hardware in a single SQLite file, accessible from any device on your network. The entire stack is vanilla Python and vanilla JavaScript with zero build steps. Lightweight enough to run on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2, easy to deploy, easy to hack on, and easy to understand.
Chits are automatically organized into views called C CAPTN E.

You never have to manually categorize anything. The system auto-assigns system tags based on chit properties. You can filter and view your data from every angle that matters.
Real life does not fit neatly into task or event or note. A doctor's appointment is a calendar event, a checklist of questions to ask, and a task to schedule a follow-up. All at once. CWOC lets you capture that naturally without duplicating information or jumping between apps. Everything about a thing stays together in one record, visible from every angle that matters.
These are not edge cases. They are the natural result of a system where everything—dates, locations, checklists, people, notes—lives on the same record. Every field you fill in makes every view smarter. A chit with a date and a checklist is a scheduled shopping list. Add an address and it is a pin on your map. Tag it and it filters with everything else. The more you use it, the more connections surface on their own.

Hardware requirements are minimal. Lightweight enough to run on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. Any modern SBC, small VM, or LXC container with 1 or more CPU cores and 512MB RAM will run it comfortably.
Install on a fresh Debian/Ubuntu or Fedora/RHEL machine with one command:
